on Jan 11th our election team made historic moves. Last year on Jan 14th we conducted this same meeting to push for change in the way we elect our leaders. JAN 11 2021 (1.11.21) The following changes has been made
To run for Second VP you must be a rising 6th Grader
6th Graders can now run for President
To run for General Pool (Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Reporter, Sgt-at-Arms) You can be in 5th-7th Grade
Because of this we have the following possibilities to make history this year
We might elect a president in 6th grade
We might elect another female president to push our #GirlsforStem Initiative
The 2021-22 Officer Team is projected to have members of all grades (6,7,8) and more girls involved in stem
We WILL have a 6th grader on the officer team for the second time in our 5 year history of elections. Out of 40 officers elected, this year we will elect the second person to ever serve in the 6th grade.
